A pig’s snout is 2,000 times more sensitive than a human’s nose. Pigs love to root. Rooting is when a pig turns over the earth by digging into it with their snout. A pig’s flat nose has a large, round disk of cartilage at the end – this makes it good for rooting around in the ground.
Skin
Pigs do not have sweat glands, which is why they enjoy wallowing in the mud.
Hooves
Did you know that pigs have toes? They have four toes on each hoof and can run up to 17km per hour.
Personality
Pigs are sentient, which means they can feel pleasure and pain just like we do.

Pigs are highly intelligent animals. They are thought to be at least as smart as a three-year-old child and probably smarter than dogs.
