Method

In a shallow container, whisk liquid smoke, maple syrup, oil, and soy sauce.

Slice the tempeh into thin, long slices. The thinner they are, the crispier they will become!

Add the tempeh to the bowl, make sure all the pieces are covered and place in the fridge for at least one hour.

Add a dash of oil to a pan on a high heat and fry the strips for 3-4 minutes on each side or until crispy.

Your facon is ready to serve. You may want to have it on toast with our avocado pea mash!
