Preheat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
Grease a cake tin.
In a large bowl, combine the apple sauce, vanilla, margarine, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar, flour and milk until well mixed.
Add the grated carrot.
Spread the batter evenly in your prepared cake tin.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Optional: Ice once your cake has cooled completely.
