WINNERS! Take action for aquatic life competition
Competition winners announced!
Thank you to everyone who entered our ‘Take Action for Aquatic Life‘ competition.
We were blown away by the submissions in this competition, and choosing our winners wasn’t easy. It is wonderful to see so many kind kids who are passionate about keeping aquatic life safe and our waterways clean. Congratulations to our winners and to all those who entered!
Our four prize pack winners are:
Jayne from Canterbury, wrote a letter to our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern. Jayne asked for more protection of endangered Maui dolphins in New Zealand. |
Caitlyn, from Waikato, collected rubbish from a popular costal walkway to stop it getting in to the sea and harming marine animals. | |
Kaitlyn, from Queenstown, made a fantastic poster showing simple ways we can all protect ocean animals. She then put copies all around her neighbourhood. Great way to spread your message Kaitlyn! |
Lilly from Auckland emailed her MP Chris Penk. She demanded that more of Aotearoa’s coastline should be protected as Marine Reserves, meaning more fish are safe from fishing boats. |
