½ C cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1 C cold vegetable stock
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves of garlic, grated
1¼ C Vital Wheat Gluten flour
¼ C nutritional yeast
1 Tbsp fresh sage
1 Tbsp fresh rosemary
Fresh black pepper, to taste
8 sheets tin foil
Prepare a steamer with boiling water. In a large bowl, mash the beans thoroughly. Add the remaining ingredients in the order listed and mix with a fork until they form a dough.
Knead the dough gently.
Divide into eight even parts and mould into a sausage shape before wrapping in tin foil.
Place wrapped sausages in steamer and steam for 40 minutes (ensuring the pot always has water in it).
Remove sausages from the tin foil and fry in a hot pan with oil for a few minutes or BBQ until brown.
Serve with salad and your favourite condiments.
