Tomato paste (add oregano for more flavour)
Basil (about half a cup)
Cherry tomatoes (8-10)
Vegan cheese (like Angel Foods Mozzarella)
For home made bases:
1 ½ C lukewarm water
2 tsp yeast
4 C flour
3 Tbsp oil
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Spread the tomato paste on the base.
Sprinkle halved or quartered cherry tomatoes around.
Next, spread basil leaves around.
Finally, top with vegan cheese.
For the base:
Combine yeast, and water and let sit for 5 minutes.
Add oil, salt and flour and mix – it may still be a bit sticky.
Sprinkle extra flour on a flat surface, and turn out the dough.
Knead for 5-10 minutes, adding more flour as needed.
Put the dough back in the bowl and leave for 30 minutes to rise.
Divide into thirds or quarters depending on how big you want the pizza.
On a floured surface roll out into round bases.
